This article proposes the inclusion within Cistus L. of Halimium (Dunal) Spach and therefore also of x Halimiocistus with major consequences for nomenclature.

This is extremely long and may take some time to open. I am aware that not all of the references are in entirely conventional format, but it would take a great deal of time to revise such a large and constantly growing document. I hope that it will be found to be very useful as it stands and understood by those familiar with bibliographical research.

NB. In the bibliography underlining does not indicate a hyperlink. Underlined references are those of which I have a copy. I would welcome assistance in obtaining copies of any that are not underlined.

Many of the titles are in languages other than English, especially Spanish and French, so, for example, a search for “seeds” could be supplemented with searches for “semillas” and “graines”.
